Can Tribal Mark on a Cheek Be Removed?

Tribal marks are like permanent ink used in tattooing and can often be removed effectively with a q-switched laser usually a ND:YAG or an alexandrite q switced laser. I would check in your area with physicians who have that treatment.

Tattooing for tribal marks can be quite effective. There are risks though depending on your skin color in that there could be postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. In other words, after the laser, there can be some darkening of the normal skin around it. Most tattoos require several treatments usually one month apart. Some fade completely, others improve but don't clear all the way.
