Does Tretinoin Cream Cause Micro Scars?

I'm 32 and have been using tretinoin cream .025 for a few months for mild wrinkles and sunspots. Over the past few weeks I have developed micro scars on both on my cheeks as well as large pores which I never had before around my nose. My skin now looks much worse and I'm very alarmed. I don't know if I should discontinue use of the tretinoin and if I do what can be used to treat the micro scars?? I did some research online and some people suggested copper peptides and emu oil. Please help!
