Treatment for Smoother, Younger-looking Skin?

What's the best treatment to get younger, smoother skin? I'm 26 and have some scars from spots and visible pores. Nothing too bad, but still, I would love flawless skin without makeup.

Treatment for smoother, younger-looking skin? Rejuvenation

Hello,

It's hard to imagine your skin looking too bad at the age of 26. Assuming your scars do not require surgery, photorejuvenation is the best method to deal with undesirable redness, brown (spots) and could also improve texture and pore size.

This technique requires a series of treatments, 1-2 weeks apart. There is little if any "down" time after each session. You may not end up flawless, but you should be better.

Skin rejuvenation for younger smoother skin

Seek out a board-certified dermatologist and get a customized skin care routine based on your complexion needs and priorities for a life long pursuit of skin rejuvenation which should include sun protection, antioxidants such as vitamin C and prescription strength topical retinoid. You then would be in a better position to benefit from quicker gratification such as fractional co2 laser resurfacing or TCA chemical peel.

Although there are many lasers on the market, some are better than others for specific problems and their length of effect may vary. Your problem as you describe it could be improved with a variety of treatments ranging from a series of microdermabrasions, to chemical peels, to lasers. However, for acne scarring and enlarged pores I have obtained the most impressive results, in the quickest time, and with the longest lasting effects with the Fraxel Re:Pair which is a fractionally ablative C02 laser. It is very versatile for the physician and he/she can determine the depth of treatment along with the percentage area of skin to treat. You will have a down time of 2-3 days (i.e. you will be using compresses and look a little "raw"). By the third day most women are able to apply make-up easily and the redness appears like a sunburn and fades over the next several weeks. The results of this single treatment are more impressive than other multi-staged procedures and most women are very pleased. Of course, this will also require pre- and post-laser skin care to enhance your results, protect you from hyperpigmentation, and to maintain the results. The more you take care of your skin and avoid sun exposure, smoking, etc., the longer your results will last.

Best Treatment for Younger, Smoother Skin

Hi Miss D,

A light laser peel with the latest fractional CO2 or 2940 wavelength lasers will likely achieve your skin rejuvenation goals.

Fraxel re:pair lite, Active Fx, Pearl are all excellent technologies to improve the tone, texture, and color of your skin, not to mention the added of value of looking rested, healthy, and younger. Most patients get by with a little eye make up and lip stick after the treatments.

Much more important than the technology is choosing the physician who performs your treatment. The treatment is not a commodity that you purchase like an iPhone. It takes a combination of a well trained, experienced physician with effective technology.

Maintaining your skin on an excellent skin care product program is essential to maintain your results.

Good luck and be well.
