Best Treatment for Persistent Redness Post Nicotine Replacement Therapy

I had a TCA 35% peel about 3 years ago. All went well. Last fall when I quit smoking, I used nicotine replacement therapy. Since then, I've developed rosacea only in the areas the TCA was applied. My dermatologist has done one PDL treatment on me. Results looked promising post 48 hours treatment, but I think it was just because I was aggressively icing my face. What is the best treatment for my condition? Should I spend the money on another PDL treatment? The first one didn't seem to help.
