I have been donig alot of research for this proceedure and have a consultation scheduled for May 3rd. I know I can ask my Dr. this information then, but I wanted to get a better idea before then.

So what exactly are considered treatment 'areas'? Are upper and lower abs considered one area or two seperate areas? What are the lines the conclude the 'flank area'? (love handles? bra rolls?)

Would anyone be able to tell me what areas I should have treated by looking at my photos? (also, I just had a baby 3 months ago so I am still 'tightening up' from that, so by the time i have the surgery my stomach wont be as flabby) Thank you!

Areas for SmartLipo vary, but we generally do the abdomen as one session

While areas of SmartLipo vary, we generally do the entire abdomen as one session ($4600) and the area of the hips and outer thighs as another session ($4600).  This can be done differently and some doctors try to do quite a bit at once.  So far, though, I have never seen one of those sessions turn out exactly like the patients wanted. The reason that the 'mega sessions' fall down is that in order to do all these areas at once the fluid that is used for numbing (if they... more

Multiple sites for liposuction after delivery

You should try to lose some more weight so that it will be closer to your pre pregnancy weight. In this way, the surgery will provide you with the best result. Your hips would be one area, and the upper and lower abdomen would be a second and third area but I would suggest the upper and lower abdomen to be done together. If you are not having more children, then a tummy tuck, done at a separate time, might be in order because without that, you won't get a washboard six-pack tummy... more

Take at least 6 months and try to get your "pre baby" body back.

As you mentioned there will be some significant tightening coming soon. Helping it with rigorous exercise and portion control, will reduce what you may feel you need to have done. From your photos, if nothing changed in the next months, you could consider doing the abdomen (upper and lower together) along with the love handle area.   These are often done together in one session, and can yield  a very nice chnge in measurements and contour.

Smart Lipo Treatment Areas -Better Ideas

Very well asked question. Thanks for posted photos. My recommendations based upon the posted photos and your questions is; 1. Smart Lipo Triplex (wavelengths 1064,1320,1440 @ 30 to 40 watts) of the complete abdomen, hips (love handles), back. Thus in my practice 4 areas,  2 for abdomen (upper & lower), i each hips and back, removing 2 liters of "melted fats". 2. A possible mini TT with MR + the Triplex of central/upper abdomen, hips and back. Either #1 or #2 should be ONE... more
