CoolSculpting fat reduction is planned for each patient differently depending on their physique
Patients in our NYC practice are examined by a doctor prior to undergoing CoolSculpting for fat loss as the amount of fat may vary signficantly from one patient to the next and that may determine how many treatments they need. In addition, the number of applicators may be different and how they are overlapped and fitted for contouring / sculpting...CoolSculpting.

How many coolsculpting treatments?
Most people will get about 20-25% thickness reduction in the zone that was treated in just one treatment session.
Of course, if you re-treat the same area, you can get more of a result. It just depend on how much of a change you are trying to achieve. Many people prefer the look they get after 2 rounds.
CoolSculpting Raleigh NC
People typically report results after a single CoolSculpting treatment. However, we advise our patients that they should prepare for two treatments for ideal results. Often people see a positive change, but they fel they could use even more improvement from a second treatment.
Keep in mind that each "love handle or "muffin top" requires on applicator. Therefore, in order for both sides to be treated in just one hour, a physician would need two systems. Otherwise, the treatments will take 2 hours vs. just one hour.

CoolSculpting can produce noticeable results after one treatment
While one treatment of CoolSculpting® will produce noticeable results, it’s not uncommon for patients to have a second treatment to maximize their results. CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive fat reduction technology that can eliminate stubborn areas of small fat with little to no downtime. Since the fat is removed through the lymphatic system, results typically begin appearing about three weeks following treatment with noticeable results in two month. Full results will be present in four to six months.
How Many Coolsculpting Treatments Will You Need?
Thank you for your question.
Each patient is different and so the number of treatments will depend on what area is treated, what the goals are and what the starting point is for that specific patient. On average, we tell patients that 2 treatments will most likely be needed but if after the first treatment, the patient is satisfied with the results, there will be no need to perform the 2nd treatment.
Best to visit with a doctor and have an in person examination to get the most precise advice.

Thank you for your question. Typically, each CoolSculpting treatment results in a noticeable reduction of fat in the treated area. After the initial treatment is complete, you can attain further reductions with additional treatments, resulting in even more fat loss. Some patients find that just one treatment fully addresses their goals. You and your doctor will discuss and design a plan that suits you best. Best of luck.
