Treatment for Acanthosis Nigricans After Underlying Problem Has Been Dealt With?

In the past six months I lost a great deal of weight, and was able to pull myself out of being diabetic with a great change in diet. Unfortunately, I still have the dark brown pigment on the back of my neck (I myself am very fair complected) where the fold of excess skin used to be. After being assured by my endocrinologist that I am not insulin resistant, I'm wondering what else I can do to make this go away? I exercise regularly, and am a few pounds shy of healthy weight.
