How can I treat a swollen red, dome shaped earlobe, tender, slightly numb /painful, from home? (Photo)

There is a dome-shaped large bump which may have a head or rough spots in the center. I had a small bump there for a couple years that would barely swell. This reaction started 3 days ago and may be related to when I put salicylic acid on it before it started swelling. It's become tender behind my ear / jaw line I'm concerned it may be my parotid gland. The earliest doctor's appointment I could make is in 1 week. I've tried heat / ice. How can I treat this at home and should I try Neosporin?
