Facial Plastic Surgery: Q&A

How Do I Treat the Ridge Under my Eye?
I'm a 22 year old male, but I look older and I think it's because I have these ridges under my eyes. I've seen different professionals and they've said that it's not bags but moreso how my face is structured. Pretty much fat separation under my eye has created this ridge and I don't know what to do about it. I've bought tons of creams, I've seen a plastic surgeon and another doctor who does mainly injections and they both refused to operate on me. There has to be something I can do!!

Ridge under my eyes
Without a photo I would have to guess what you are describing. This may be consistent with what is referred to as a tear trough deformity. This is a prominence of the rim with a hollow. This can be treated with the injection of Restylane to help fill the tear trough, it is a temporary measure but, if you win it is a home run without surgery. If you also need lower lid surgery, fat from the lower lid can be transposed into the valley.

Treating ridge under the eye
From your post I cannot tell whether you see something that they do not see or vice versa. If you had posted a photo that would have made it easier to respond. If you look at my patient photos on realself you will see an example of a patient that I treated who I think had the same problem. If that is the case the treatment is straightforward. The ridge you describe would then be a nasojugal groove or tear trough.
