Post Fibrous Popule Removal: Best Treatment for a Scar?

On November 29, 2010 I had a fibrous popule removed from the left side of my nose. There used to be a dent a few months after the removal, but now the area is flat for the most part. However, it is still dark\redish and noticable. What are some of the best things I can do at this point to reduce the dark\redish appearance and get the area to blend in with the rest of my skin? Some people have suggeted I used Maderma but I am not sure what to do? Thank you.

Apprehension about manipulating the nose following a rhinoplasty is normal because of the swelling and tenderness. However, 3-4 weeks after surgery the soft tissues are sufficiently healed to allow normal handling of the nose. Your anxiety will gradually disappear with time.

It is very difficult to damage nerves long-term after a primary rhinoplasty. All the nerves come back. I have not seen a numb tip unless it is a secondary or tertiary rhinoplasty. Most of the time in a primary rhinoplasty the nerves come back in 6 months.
