Plane Travel After Mommy Makeover

You should be able to fly safely 1 month after surgery. You should stay hydrated and get up to walk every 30 minutes or so. I also instruct my patients to flex/pump theur calf muscles 10 times while seated every 15 minutes. Taking a baby aspirin is not a bad idea. Always ask your surgeon if you have any doubts or questions.

Mommy Makeover

This should be fine, just clear it with your surgeon and all will be good. Thank you for your question and good luck with everything.

Traveling after Mommy Makeover

Thank you for your question. Yes, traveling 1 month after surgery should be fine. At that point, you should clear the travel again with your plastic surgeon. Make sure you are ambulating and consider the use of aspirin. Best Wishes!

Fine to fly one month after mommy makeover.

Hi. What you need to do (actually this is a good idea for everybody) is take a full aspirin tablet (baby aspirin does not work for this), and get up and walk up and down the aisle of the plane every thirty minutes.

Plane ride after Mommy Makeover.

One month should be fine, but check with your doctor.  We, on the net don't know how you did, if there were any complications or unexpected problems.  But if the course was smooth, just take the normal precautions when you fly.  Stay hydrated, get up and move your legs and do toe raises every hour or so.

Yes but with some restrictions

Mommy makeover procedure requires usually about 2 weeks of recovery time to feel good and strong again. It is possible to travel on the plane 1 month after, but you need to some help with your luggage. It is not advised to carry or lift anything over 10 pounds at this point yet (until 6 weeks after procedure). You don’t want to compromise the results of your surgery. Please talk to your surgeon before leaving on the trip if you need to follow any special instructions. Hopefully one... more

Mommy makeover postoperative care

I would tell my patients it is safe to fly in 4 weeks after a "Mommy Makeover," although ideally, I would like my patients to remain local for 6-8 weeks postop if they can, as I like to follow their progress closely in the first two months. Most wound healing (to the point that the incisions won't reopen) occurs in the first 3-4 weeks, and the risk of blood clots should be minimal for a 2-hour plane flight 4 weeks after surgery. However, if you run into difficulty and are... more

Riding a plane after surgery may need to wait at least 4-6 weeks.

After a mommy makeover, I would wait at least 4-6 weeks.  Therefore, you should be okay.  However make sure you get clearance from your plastic surgeon before you travel.

Flying after surgery.

After 1 month, you should be able to fly. It is important to walk the aisles of the plane every 30 minutes-1hour to keep the blood moving in your legs. Drink plenty of water and be sure to pack any medications in your carry-on.

It should be safe to travel following a "mommy makeover"

It should be safe for you to travel one month following an abdominoplasty and mastopexy.  You should take precautions to avoid blood clots in your legs, such as taking asprin for a couple of days before and after the trip, and making an effort to get up from your seat every hour or so to walk a bit.
