Will be having lipo July 7th (tentative). Energy assisted (bodytite), smart lipo, with one of the best ps in Canada. Will be going to Ecuador 4 weeks later. Will the elevation adverseley effect me because of lack of regular oxygen, so to speak at that level? Also, need to take yellow fever vaccine. Will this adversely affect me?

Liposuction and then travel

The elevation might make you very very swollen postoperatively. Even at one month. Three to six months would be safer. You might do well at one month but you might find your compression garment won't fit well. Your surgeon might have a better recommendation as it would be he or she that will know the plan of the surgery (how many expected ccs to remove, etc.).

Travel to Ecuador 10,000 Ft, One Month After Lipo?

Traveling long distances a month after Cosmetic Surgery is not a great idea. Assuming that everything goes well and there are no complications (something no ethical surgeon can promise), you will still be recovering from the surgery and just be coming out from wearing a compression garment. While I do not think your healing would suffer from walking at 10,000 feet elevation, unless you are in a fantastic shape, I doubt you will be in the best of shape to explore Cusco and the Andes.
