With clips in your calf, you may want to consider direct excision of fat in your calves. However, the scars will most likely be more noticeable. After a large amount of weight loss, you may also have excess skin. It should be ok to perform liposuction years after this procedure. It might be wise to use a smaller size cannula and gentle surgical techniques. Are your deep veins okay?

Eventhough you now have clips on stripped veins  due to varicosities, I think it shoudl be OK to have liposuction of these areas.  I assume that the vein stripping was done a long time ago. Therefore the vessels have already thrombosed and permanently closed.
