This is an answer I translated from a reputable plastic surgeon. He also adds: "For other cases you should wait at least 3 months or more until the deformities are completely visible." I see that the general consensus here is 1 year, but are these statements true in any cases? I am wondering because I am 6 weeks post op and my right bone/osteotomy is uneven from the left and it is quite visible/palpable. I am also scared that it's mobile and will sink further/cause a collapse, is that possible?

Thanks for the question. You shouldn't have piercings for at least 2-4 months. Then, if you talk to your surgeon and get approval, there is no obstacle to having a piercing. I wish you all the best.
