I'm 25 spanish female. To start, I have a rather thin upper lip. My upper lip is far from the tip of my nose. I like my regular smile but I have an over bite which makes me have a gummy smile when I smile big. I want to know if I'm a candidate for this procedure; if so, will it hide my gummy smile or make it worse? Also will it make my nose appear wider or smaller? I also have questions about Nosal narrowing but I'll make another post. Thank you.

Lips are particularly sensitive for everyone. A mild sedative (Valium) and topical anesthetic ointment left on for 30-45 minutes along with icing should help make it minimally sensitive. Find an empathic PS with a soft touch. Good luck.
Thanks for your question, and sorry that you are having these concerns once again. Please make your appointments in the offices of board-certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons. We understand the products better than anyone, we know the anatomy better than anyone and have the most skill to...
I appreciate your problem and physical exam is optimal, but it appears that your lower lip is big enough to allow excision of the discolored portion, as done in lip reduction surgery, to correct the problem. Look at the link below to an article I wrote about lip reduction surgery. Good luck!
