It depends on the formula
Ascorbic acid, the most active form of Vitamin C, must be stabilized at a very low (acid) pH. This may result in irritation, especially if you are on Accutane. The forms that are stable at neutral pH: magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, and acsorbyl palmitate, are stable in a non-acid formula and would be fine for use.
