Dear Doctors, I am getting a tonsillectomy in the ninth month after my rhinoplasty. Can this surgery anyhow affect my so far achieved results or disturb the healing process in anyway? On forehand thanks!

Tonsillectomy After Rhinoplasty Dear Doctors, I am getting a tonsillectomy in the ninth month after my rhinoplasty. Can this surgery anyhow affect my so far achieved results or disturb the healing process in anyway? On forehand thanks! It should not really be an issue, as the tonsils are far away from any of the internal structures of your nose.  I would let your surgeon know that you had rhinoplasty surgery so that they are cautious during the procedure. Tonsillectomy should not affect your results from previous Rhinoplasty Surgery.

Your nose is mostly healed, and your tonsillectomy should not negatively affect your rhinoplasty result. You should inform your ENT specialist of your concerns for reassurance. I hope this is helpful for you.

Tonsillectomy After Rhinoplasty

A tonsillectomy nine months after rhinoplasty should not significantly interfere with your healing. At nine months much of the internal healing has been achieved. The exterior, especially the lower dorsum and tip are still healing, but this is far enough away from the tonsils to remain unaffected.
