I've seen a oral surgeon before and he felt that the benefit I would get from jaw surgery would be minimum compared to the recovery period and the price for this surgery. I have no desire to get jaw surgery and as long as I'm careful with my jaw I normally don't have any issues. Do you think having tmj might cause an issue for me to get rhinoplasty?

Take a deep breath and relax. Lip swelling after rhinoplasty in entirely normal. You should start to see a decrease in this over the next week. Remember to keep your head elevated when you are recumbent and avoid any strenuous activity for another couple of weeks.

Nasolabial fold asymmetry can typically be improved with dermal filler injections. I would like to know when your rhinoplasty and alar base procedures were performed. If this was performed recently (1-3 months) might improve with time. You might want to ask your surgeon about massaging the area...
