If a person continues to smoke cigarettes, will thermage work? Will they tighten wrinkles around upper lip and cheek area from previous smoking?
Does Thermage Work if Smoking Continues?

Continued smoking would diminish effects and longevity of Thermage.
Smoking causes the production or free radicals which are responsible for aging and tissue damage. Thermage, which uses heat to stimulate collagen, can show subtle improvements to skin tightening and texture. Smoking would diminish the effects and longevity of the treatment results. Thermage is not the treatment of choice for deep wrinkles, although it can have a slight smoothing effect. You'd be better off with a dermal filler (Juvederm or Restylane) or an abblative laser (Profractional or Laser resurfacing) for that type of concern.
