Thermage is safe for all skin types....

Yes, Thermage is safe for any skin type... just like with any treatment there are always risks so whomever you go with to get treated please make sure the provider is experienced with the technology they are using on you. Hope this helps.

Thermage safe on dark skin

In general Thermage is very safe on dark skin but careful attention must be paid to treatment settings to avoid excessive heat which can lead to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Choose a provider with experience using Thermage and laser on dark skin types.

Thermage can cause post inflammatory pigmentation and therefore darken African American Skin

Thermage can cause post inflammatory pigmentation and therefore darken African American Skin. The good news is that by controlling the temperature during the procedure this rarely happens.

Thermage and darker skin type

It is safe for people with darker skin types to have thermage or any other radio frequency treatments. Of course, be selective and choose a cosmetic physician who does the treatments regularly because if the person doing your treatment is not aware of best treatment parameters for your skin, there is a risk for crusting or a burn.
