A: There are definite options for a non surgical facelift

Philip Young, MD

There are different options to rejuvenating a person's face. You don't necessarily have to undergo a major facelift with long incisions to make yourself look better.  A great option is facial fat transfer.  When people age, they lose volume in the face and this contributes to the facial skin drooping... more

A: Non surgical facelift

Brent Moelleken, MD

A facelift is a procedure that tightens skin and readjusts the deep tissues of the face.  The results from a skillfully performed facelift are dramatic and very long lasting.  There is no treatment that even comes close to achieving what a facelift with ancillary procedures can.  The down time... more

A: Depends how much corrrection you want for your face lift

Otto Joseph Placik, MD

It really depends on how much correction you are looking for and to what degree. Aging is a process that effects skin, muscle, fat, and bone. Using a treatment that corrects only one aspect of aging gives you a unidimensional correction. If the only aspect of aging is loss of volume than a filler such as... more

A: There is no such thing as a non surgical facelift,...

Rod J. Rohrich, MD

There is no such thing as a non surgical facelift, however this term is sometimes used for facial rejuvenation that involves fillers and botox to reshape the face. Fillers and Botox can be used to lift the eyes and brows, to soften the wrinkles and fill out the mouth and lips, but you cannot really provide a... more

A: Non Surgical Facelift is a Misnomer

Stephen Prendiville, MD

When a patient has the aging changes (jowls, platysmal banding, mid facial descent, skin laxity) and the desire, Facelift is truly the gold standard for facial rejuvenation.  There is no procedure, invasive or non invasive, that approximates the result of Facelift.  Non surgical Facelift is truly... more

A: Fillers do not lift sagging facial skin

Scott E. Kasden, MD

Fillers like Restylane will plump areas, and camo deep lines. It wll not lift sagging facial structures. Some of the more invasive lasers like CO2, or Coblation will tighten the skin and give a more youthful look, but in the support structures have lost strength and structures are falling, some form of... more

A: Facelift is the gold standard

David Shafer, MD

Savannah, Facelift is the gold standard for the rejuvenating the aging face.  However, if you include a picture we may be able to suggest less invasive procedures or treatments that could help you.  In many cases, fillers or fat grafting can help rejuvenate the face.  However, if you have... more

A: No such thing as non-surgical face lift

Steven Wallach, MD

Non-surgical facelifts are an oxymoron. There is really no such thing. You can't really "lift" the facial tissues without going underneath the skin to raise the soft tissues. If your face just has some soft tissue loss, then a few syringes of filler product can soften some of these depressions.

A: Few procedures could help

Hisham Seify, MD, PhD

Hello, A picture will help a lot to give you a more accurate answer. However, the non-surgical face lift concept, in my mind, is a marketing term. This does not mean that the special procedures included in these offered face lift alternatives do not work. A combination of laser, fillers, etc., might help with... more

A: Facelift vs. Mini facelift vs. nonsurgical facelift

Raffy Karamanoukian, MD

Facial aging is due to a loss of skin quality; loss of fascial support; and atrophy of soft tissue. Skin quality and soft tissue can be improved nonsurgically, however, fascial support must be addressed with surgery. Thus, nothing is superior to a facelift in restoring facial harmony.
