Petechiae, purpura and ecchymosis.

Petechiae are smaller than 3 mm in size. Purpura are between 3 mm to 1 cm in size. Ecchymoses are larger than 1 cm. They are red purple discolorations of the skin that do not blanch with pressure.

KTP 532 nm lasers and ND YAG 1064 lasers are used to treat temple veins.

The CoolTouch Varia is a good laser to treat temple veins - it is 1064 nm laser.
