Comfort with transitional prosthesis

The comfort with transitional prosthesis (while implants are healing) depends on its design and type. Flippers are removable prosthesis that although provide satisfactory aesthetics, are not the most comfortable to use. Bonded temporary restorations provide are more comfortable to use and certainly look great, but it requires bonding and debonding several times during the implant treatment. Essix appliances are generally more comfortable and still provide good aesthetics and function.
