Is the Newly FDA-cleared Fractional Laser Wrinkle Treatment (Ablative Palomar Product) Effective on Deep Lines & Creases?

I am 50 yr old former smoker. I had a consultation today at a spa to address my deep vertical lip lines, periorbital wrinkles and crows feet. She explained it uses laser light to deliver energy deep into the skin generating new skin. I wonder how effective this treatment may be or if it is due to a new technique the spa now offers. It was explained to be up to four days downtime. Should I put my money where my mouth is or look into other options?
