Should I Get the Jaw Surgery?

ok so i am a 18 year old female and i have a class 3 malcollusion(underbite) .Should i get the surgery done? Is my age alright for the surgery?My ortho says he'll fix it with braces but can i get the surgery done ?because i really want to.Should i go get a second opinion.?i am not at all happy with my appearnce because of my underbite so i would like to have a normal bite asap and not wait years for it to get fixed through braces ,headgears and elastics.Thanks
