In the best case scenario 70% of the fat injected will live. The fat survives based on blood supply and new blood vessels growing into the fat cells. In my patients the buttocks will decrease in size of the 1st 2 to 3 weeks after that whatever size is there remains as a permanent result. If the patient does not put pressure of the buttocks you will get the best result possible.
