What are the possible causes of ear pain after rhino/septo/turbinoplasty?

My doc looked and said there's no infection. I'm 3 weeks post op and did NOT have an ear graft. Thanks

Middle ear fluid or infection can cause ear pain after rhinoplasty

Thank you for your question. The extensive procedure you had with turbinectomy, septoplasty and rhinoplasty can cause the opening of the eustachian tube in your throat to close from swelling. This can cause blockage of normal drainage of fluid from the middle ear. This can cause a condition called otitis media.

Please see your Dr. for an ear examination with an otoscope.
