Safe to have lipo on thighs, abs and hips with a spinal cord injury? I have very limited feeling below waist and can't walk.

Doctor recommended we start heparin the day of procedure. I am active and have had children since injury. I don't have much to eliminate, but its self conscious weight that sags over my jeans while sitting. I can't it run off. Doctor also said we can do it in his office and I would be awake. The machine tightens with heat...will this cause any additional concern for my skin? Has anyone performed or know of someone who's had lipo with a SCI? Are there any precautions I could take?
