I am 13 weeks post op from having a breast lift with 460cc high profile implants placed under the muscle. The upper pole of my breast is still really full. Will the implants continue to drop to a more natural look over the next few month, years, or as I age? I like them in most clothes but they look ridiculous in a bikini.
Answer: Breast lift settling and aging There is always some postop swelling that subsides, followed by a gradual settling of your breast tissue. Over time, the breasts will continue to age over the ensuing years. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Answer: How long Thanks for your question! Most implants have dropped into place after 3 months. There are some changes after that point, but they are usually subtle. There are many reasons for implants to overfill the upper pole and without more history or pictures it is hard to say what is happening in your situation. Three months post-op is also an excellent time to follow-up with your plastic surgeon to review your results. Before considering revision I would encourage you to wait at least 6 months. Best of luck!

Answer: Doubt there will be significant change Thanks for your question. Without a pre/postop photo or knowing your measurements it is hard to give you a complete answer. Generally, implants have dropped after a few weeks. In a very large implant like you have it can take longer. If the dimensions of your breast and the envelope won't allow the implant to drop then that is another issue. Provided the muscle has been completely released, the implant however should settle. I have seen some patients that have come to me as a 2nd opinion with similar complaints. The excessive upper pole fullness looks very "augmented" and not "natural" as you had indicated in one of your key word selection. It could be that the best option is to place a smaller implant that is a better match. This is something you and your surgeon will have to discuss. Best of Luck!

Answer: Breast result Thanks for your inquiry, but without a picture it is hard to advise. If you feel your implants are high, it is still not to late to influence them to drop some. Discuss a bandeau or massage with your surgeon.

Answer: Implants may drop over time It's difficult to answer your question without knowing more about your surgery. Most implants tend to drop over time and it can take several months for this to happen. If your surgeon used your pectoral muscles to cover and hold the implants in place, then they may not drop. Speak to your plastic surgeon about your concerns.
