Can I get a cartilage piercings re-pierced after having a keloid removed surgically?

I had a keloid grow on my cartilage piercing I had it removed a few months ago. I can still see the hole in front and back of my ear.but since it was cut over its closed can I re pierce with a needle with no recurring problem
