Would smp be suitable for a norwood 2? Would the bald front corners blend in with the existing middle forelock
Answer: No What happens if your Norwood 2 hair line becomes a Norwood 3,4,5,or 6? You'll have a triangle shaped SMP wedge on your forehead. Unless you are going to live with a shaved head for the rest of your life, we don't recommend SMP in front of hair lines or for early balding patients.SMP is not a temporary fix. It is a permanent commitment.

Answer: Re: Scalp Micropigmentation For Hair Restoration Purposes Scalp micropigmentation can help in areas where hair is sparse, but already present. It can help create the appearance of greater density, especially for individuals with fair skin and dark colored hair. It should not be regarded as an alternative to a hair transplant, especially in the front where the inked areas would extend past the border of existing hair. Due to the differences in texture, the use of pigment would be quite obvious to others. And it would also look very unnatural. From the experience of my clinic, patients who had undergone SMP to compensate for baldness often felt very self conscious about their results, avoiding close contact with others and shying away from bright lights. Hairline restoration surgery is more likely to produce desired results.

Answer: Placing SMP at the leading edge of a hairline This is not a good thing to do because the pigment will not necessarily have hair above it and the tattoo effect can be seen when looking at you. The SMP should always be placed behind the leading edge of the hairlines. Remember, SMP is permanent. See below discussions in the web-reference:
