I used to weigh 328lbs and through diet and exercise I've dropped down to 185lbs (fluctuating). Recently, I have had a substantial decrease in energy. My stomach is where I hold all my weight and it hurts a bit to work out. Would I be a candidate for surgery?

Answer: Would I be a candidate for a weight loss surgery?
Yes. To get your bowels to move laxatives are fine pre-op. If you are utilizing a laxative to the point of diarrhea that is not ideal before operation.
Your situation is unusual. Weight loss after bypass stabilizes 2 years after surgery. You may be suffering from malabsorption. Do u have diarrhea? You need to be evaluated by a Bariatric surgeon and need to start nutrient and vitamin supplementation asap
Dr. Darido alludes to the real answer as to why weight loss is slow after revision surgery. With a revision you can fix a problem such as a fistula or improperly performed operation; but if the first operation was done right, you shouldn't really expect to lose more weight at all!...
