Wore Braces for 6 Months with Ceramic Laminates, Don't Like the Look, What can I do Now?

My front middle teeth were one above the other.later corrected by composite laminates.Years later in a beauty pageant a Doc asked me to wear braces saying my teeth are not visible and they got to come to the front.So I wore braces for 6 months+ some ceramic laminates .Now I don't like the look.I liked the look half way through braces.Doc says now if I remove my permanent braces they will get disaligned!!sounds scary.so how do I get my first look i.e to get my teeth go back without disalignment
