I had a 100% TCA peel done. Small amounts were put directly on acne scars. This was done about 5 weeks ago, and it still has not healed completely. The spots where the TCA was applied are a brownish/reddish color (I’ve kept Vaseline on them, so they are not scabs). Does this seem like a normal recovery period? Furthermore, would you suggest a 30% peel on the entire area (cheeks) where I had the 100% TCA peel done?
Have you consulted with your Board Certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon about this? That's the first place to start. Normally, a TCA peel is 30 percent. 100 percent is a bit unusual.
