How to treat a scraped healing spot after TCA?

I used TCA on my legs to fade some sun spots. It worked well on all except one spot. I was getting dressed when a button scraped against the healing spot. Now I have a large red, brown spot where it was scraped. For about 8 weeks, I have been using 2% Hydroquinone cream and I haven't seen any results. What else can I use to make it fade away and how long will it take?

A: TCA peels are not recommended for legs

John P. Di Saia, MD

Hello, You might want to see a good plastic surgeon for that area. TCA peels are good for the face when used properly, but are unpredictable when used on other areas of the body.
