I had the procedure done to treat a painful varicose vein, the vein now aches more and each of the veins (sources of the varicose vein) that were also treated are tender to the touch and ache as well. My leg actually feels better with the compression stocking on, so I'm continuing to wear it during the day but worry about when I take it off and my leg aches. Is this normal and how long will it take to stop being tender and aching?

The veins on your photo do
not look pathological: they are straight and, therefore, are not stretched
along, which means they are not stretched across either. Once your
weight is back to baseline and / or if your legs bother you, you might want to
have a formal evaluation performed by a...
The type of laser, settings, and person running the machine play a big component to the results you get . I suggest going to a laser expert for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Peri-orbital reticular veins can be seen involving the lateral aspects of the outer eyes. These are not harmful in any way,but the appearance can annoy some patients. YAG laser treatments are useful, but repeat treatments are often needed and these reticular veins can reoccur.
