I have a tingling/numbness in my lower right lip following an attempted implant procedure. Will it regain its normal sensation?

2 years ago attempted implant in lower right gum, bone graft was required. Appears that there is now excess bone in my gum,I can feel the excess.Following the incision of the post I felt numbness in my lip. After about 6 months the post was removed, tingling remained. A bridge was installed instead of implant, hoping that the nerve would be restored. Tingling sometimes is more obvious than other times. Chewing also feels awkward at times, is this a result of the presumed excess bone in my gum?
