At the hospital practice in Switzerland that I'm considering this is their standard practice. But almost everything I read here on real self refers to returning home same day or next day at most. Is this a cultural difference? What are the benefits of staying in hospital care for so long after the surgery? I'm wondering if I should wait and have the procedure done in the US next time I visit instead.
