Still Experiencing a Lot of Swelling a Month After Smart Lipo

I had smartlipo done on my abs and flanks the procedure was performed on May 15th and I am still experiencing a lot of swelling on my lower abs and for some reason the swelling occurs mostly on my left side, goes up to the flank area. I wear my compression garment every night and only when I wake up still swollen. I am getting concerned and depressed over this-thought I would see results. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing differently? When should I expect this to away?

Smart lipo swelling

I think that Smart lipo tends to creast more swelling than more traditional liposuction treatments. This may be related to the heating component of the laser.  Of course check with your doctor as well.

Intermittent swelling after smart lipo

Swelling after liposuction can be worse some days more than others, and some hours during the day worse than others. It is possible that your compression garment needs to be changed. It may no longer give you the correct support.
