I am 5 days post-op of lift and subpectoral augmentation. Currently I have a hard swelling under each arm, (more on strong side) which I believe to be my muscle. Is this normal swelling and pain location, and when will it subside? I believe this type of swelling is causeing me to look wider then normal.

Swelling and hardness after augmentation mammaplasty
This swelling and hardness is normal at just 5 days. It should subside with time. Be patient and allow the swelling to go down. It may take several weeks.

Swelling in sides and arms after breast augmentation with implants.
This is commonly due to the bra which can cause swelling in this area similar to the way a tight stocking can cause swelling above the sock. Always discuss your findings with your surgeon who is best equipped to answer your questions.
