Are Suture Holes Permanent? What Can I Do to Help This Scar?

I had a excision done 2 weeks ago. The doctor made a very thin line on my face and stitched. We only kept the stiches in for 5 days. the line actually looks great, except in the middle where there are two tiny holes, i think from the sutures. Will these eventally go away? He keeps telling me this will fade and go away, and it will grow in together, but I am worried about these holes stopping the thin line from fading. I also have a tiny spot of extra scar tissue that is permanent.
