I had an orthodontist consult today and the dr. said that surgery assisted maxillary expansion was nessasary for my treatment..the findings are I have class 2 molar realationship, decreased overbite 10%, severely excessive overjet 6mm, severe upper crowding 8mm and severe lower crowding 6mm and a narrow upper dental arch. MY question is ...is there any way to avoid this surgery and straighten my teeth, it costs upwards of 10 thousand dollars on top of a 7 thousand dollar ortho treatment fee.
