Do I Need Surgery to Correct my Uneven Jawline (photo)?

my jawline is very uneven. the bones arent right and my left face is longer and narrower than the right side. i took X-rays and the doctor said i should do a surgery to grind away part of my mandible on both sides to solve the problem. should i do it? what are the risks? i also have serious ptosis in my left eye, which vision is impaired. i dont know if the facial structure is a result of me not using my left eye. the ptosis is congenital and i dont know if the bone problem is too
