Is the Surgeon Able to Change the Power on the Erbium Yag Just Before Laser Resurfacing?

I am worried about the risk of something going wrong. Can the power be changed just before treatment with no prior notice to a reduced strength.

Concerned about your laser procedure

Many of the erbium yag lasers can be set at such low settings that you barely feel anything.  Conversely, they can be set at levels that can go very deep into the skin.  You need to be very clear with your dermatologist what results you are hoping to achieve and how much downtime you have (from 1 day to several weeks) and then your settings should be based according to these needs with both safety and efficacy in mind.
