Sun can permanently damage the DNA in skin leading to skin cancer. Most people come to see me because of the visible signs of aging on their skin caused by sun damage.

We can do things to reverse the signs of aging but we can’t do it all. If you come in here after having smoked and been in the sun, been in tanning booths, never used sun block, can I turn you back to what you looked like back before you did all this? Unfortunately I cannot do that. I can moisturize your skin, I can get rid of some of the browns and discoloration, I can lift and tighten some of your skin. But I’m never going to make you back to what you could’ve been, if you would have protected your skin. Look at the faces as you walk through the mall. It is obvious who has protected their skin from the sun and who has not....their age shows.
