Will the Stretched Skin After IPL Swelling Go Away?

I had IPL 9 days ago. I am 42 years old. I had the resulting swelling under my eye, which has now receded and caused the skin to be stretched. How long will it take to recover? Will this be permanent? What can I do to help the skin now that the swelling has gone down? I look like a sixty-year-old when I smile now on one side.

Keep The Area hydrated. It is not permanent.

This is a temporary affect from the swelling caused by the IPL. Your skin has gotten the inflated balloon affect. This is fairly common from IPL treatment and it means that your physician used a higher energy level. Being only 42 you should have a good bounce back and all will be well. Keep the area hydrated and this will help minimize the effect and decrease the time it takes to go back to normal. Hope this helps.
