Stopping "Fever Blisters" after Glycolic Acid Peels

If you get regular fever blisters, also know as cold sores, following glycolic acid peels, your doctor might consider treating you with an oral antiviral medication before the peel. Developing cold sores while your skin is still healing after a peel can develop into a serious complication so many doctors use Valtrex or some similar medication to prevent cold sores. Talk to your dermatologist about this possibility. Good luck.
