Septoplasty: Q&A

Ask a Question

Still Inflamed and Congested 8 Weeks After Septoplasty and Fess?

Eight weeks ago I underwent septoplasty, fess and turbinoplasty. My recovery has been poor, and I am oral and topical corticosteroids for inflammation. My ENT showed me by endoscope that the linings are healing, but I still have pain in my nose and sinuses plus i feel that everything is very dry and uncomfortable. My nasal breathing is also noisier than before the surgery, the doctor has ruled out a perforation. Is this noise likely to go away? I have a nasal voice most of the time as well.
