Why do I Still Have a Little Bulge Right Above my Incision Line 5.5 Months Post Full TT?

I am 5.5 months post of full tummy tuck but there is still a little bulge right above my incision line, also the left side seems to be more puffy than the right side. Is this normal? What can be done to remedy it? I've been wearing garments persistently except taking it off at night the most recent month only. I can still see the little roll right above the incision line when I wear a tight outfit. Will this ever go away or do I need a revision from my surgeon?

Contouring after tummy tuck

I'd recommend that you give this a little time as contour issues can persist for a while after tummy tuck. At this point, there is no reason for you to wear the compressive garment. As you mention that you notice the bulge when wearing a tight outfit, this may result from the fit of your clothing as well. If the problem persists, you may need a small scar revision or a bit of liposuction in the problem area.

Asymmetry after Tummy Tuck

This may include the use of liposuction and/or additional skin excision. I would suggest continued patience and communication with your... more

CONTOUR IRREGULARITES

Contour irregularities are very common after a TT. A non-surgical body contouring intervention with Endermologie or Vela Shape will help to smooth out the "lumps and bumps. Ask your PS if he/she offers this service and if not, who does. I give all my TT patients between 5-10 Endermologie treatments post op and rarely need to perform any revision surgery.

Post op TT

Is this swelling size changing? is it getting any better? if not then most likely its need an intervention from your surgeon and it will not go away. Sometimes asymmetrical resection of fat or liposuction can give this problem, and oedema from the incision position, or type of liposuction f it was done. last, some muscle tear can result in muscle weakness and give hernia ( bulge) . And I think its difficult to answer what would be the treatment for this bulge or buffiness with out a through... more
