I Had Steroid Injections Yesterday 4 Weeks Post Rhinoplasty Op and NO Changes, Not Even Swelling?

Will these still be changes, or subtle changes even if there is no swelling? My surgeon said that My nose would swell, which it hasn't. It doesn't look any different. I know it's soon but I expected swelling, to know that it's working. I am due back in 4 weeks for some more steroid shots, will these even work? How long will it take to show effects?

Steroid nasal injections take several days to a couple of weeks to work...won't happen overnight IMHO. Wait a couple of weeks and see what happens but as always you should discuss this with your Rhinoplasty Surgeon.

Rhinoplasty and steroid injections

I am not a big fan of steroid injections after rhinoplasty to help decrease swelling. I think this is a temporary efect and may cause problems with soft tissue atrophy, hypopigmentation, and even telangiectasias

Rhinoplasty and steroid injection

Steroid injections after rhinoplasty often take time to make a difference. This can be several weeks or even months. I would wait at least 6 months before really assessing the results. Swelling does not always happen right after a steroid injection.

Steroid injections in a nose after rhinoplasty

The question is why did you have steroid injections? Did you have "supratip swelling" (meaning swelling just above the tip)? Maybe this will subside with steroid injections, but it will take several weeks and you may need additional injections. The results are never seen immediately with steroid injections. E.
